The Rambla in Figueres hosts from this Friday the fifth edition of the Craft Beer Festival, which boasts 14 stalls and will offer around forty beer varieties, alongside gastronomic tastings and live music.

The city of Figueres is buzzing for the fifth edition of the Craft Beer Festival, taking place on the Rambla on June 12th and 13th. The event, organized by Comerç Figueres with the support of the Figueres City Council, promises a larger offering than ever, with 14 stalls dedicated to craft beer and gastronomic products. Entry to the festival is free, with opening hours on Friday from 5:00 PM to 10:30 PM and Saturday from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM to 10:30 PM.
The main objective of the festival is to showcase and promote the local craft beer production, as well as its brewing methods. This year, attendees will have the opportunity to taste approximately forty different beers. The event has grown significantly compared to last year, expanding from 11 to 14 participating stalls, and is expected to surpass previous editions' figures for beer consumption and food tastings.
Six producers from Alt Empordà will be present: Cervesa de Roses (CDR), Cooperativa Cervesera Cadaqués, Notenfadis, Rufa, Limbik Co, and Albera. Additionally, the festival will feature special guests such as Cervesa Pochs from Garrotxa and La Fresca from Catalunya Nord. The gastronomic offerings will be provided by six local establishments: Serraplà, La Patagonia, Les delícies d’en Nil, Boga Gastrotaberna, Batuts, and Sea & Chips.
The music and street activities program will complement the beer offerings. On Friday, Els Perduts (6:30 PM) and Bananna Beach Crew (8:30 PM) will perform. On Saturday, PD Pawer will entertain the afternoon with soul, rocksteady, ska, and reggae music, followed by a parade with Tramuntakada and concerts by Sweet Chilli Band and Poéticamente Incorrectos.
As pre-festival activities, five themed tastings have been organized in emblematic locations in Figueres, including the Salvador Dalí Birthplace Museum, the Market Balcony, and the chapel of Sant Sebastià. These events include pairings with beers from Alt Empordà, a visit to the Rufa brewery, and a "chocobirra" session with master chocolatier Arnau Triola.
This year's poster, designed by Leonard Beard, is inspired by Joan Maragall's poem "The Shepherd and the Siren," seeking a visual connection with the imaginary of the Empordà region. The festival's reusable glass will be the same as in previous editions.
