This heavy loss was the culmination of a streak where the team had only managed one victory in their last seven matches. Although at one point in the season there was a possibility of competing in the playoff for promotion to Segunda Federación, the results of the last month dashed all hopes.
The match was quickly decided during the first half. The home team took the lead in the 10th minute with a goal from Iker Carreras. Monta held on until the 26th minute, when Raúl Gómez scored the second. The following ten minutes were particularly difficult, with a brace from Biel Fariñas extending the lead. Finally, Llorenç Busquets sealed the victory with the fifth goal.
The team finishes the campaign in eleventh place in the standings, with a total of 42 points, remaining far from both relegation and playoff positions. In this last encounter, coach Àxel Vizuete gave opportunities to less regular players, a decision that, according to subsequent analysis, ultimately affected the team's performance.
