The meeting saw high citizen participation and served to strengthen ties between both rural communities. The events began on Friday at the placeta del Priorat with an official reception featuring the Lladó Choir, which performed songs in Catalan and Basque, followed by a traditional sardana dance.
During Saturday, the visitors explored the local wine heritage with a visit to the Vinya dels Aspres winery in Cantallops. Later, a popular lunch was held at the church of Sant Feliu, gathering nearly a hundred people, including municipal representatives from neighboring towns such as Cabanelles, Pontós, and Ordis.
The institutional event at the Sala Sant Joan included official speeches and a display of traditional Basque culture, featuring the Aurresku dance. The meeting concluded on Sunday with a working session at the Lladó Town Hall to plan activities for the fifteenth anniversary of the relationship, which will take place in three years.
