The adventure began in Barcelona early in the morning, with the goal of buying the sweet Cadaqués Taps, a specialty from the Can Cabrisas pastry shop. Pol Codina, the idea's instigator, explained that his mother wanted to try them, which is why he decided to embark on this bicycle journey accompanied by his friend Ignasi Robert.
The route, documented in a video, exceeded 210 kilometers and lasted over 13 hours. Fatigue was evident, especially during the winding final ascent towards Cadaqués, where Ignasi Robert expressed his physical exhaustion.
After arriving in the Empordà town in the evening, the main objective was to obtain the coveted Taps. At the Can Cabrisas pastry shop, they were fortunate to find them available, receiving a box of 15 units. The shop assistants were surprised to learn about the cyclists' origin and journey conditions, having passed through towns like Vic, Olot, and Figueres.
The Cadaqués Taps have a long history, created in the late 19th century. The Can Cabrisas pastry shop produces up to 4,000 units daily during the summer months, but they often sell out due to their popularity as a gift and souvenir of the town.
