Overturned car causes closure of AP-7 highway in Biure towards France

A collision between two cars this Friday morning has left two people injured and caused significant traffic jams.

The AP-7 highway has been completely closed to traffic this Friday morning near Biure, in the Alt Empordà region, following a road accident involving two vehicles.

The incident took place shortly before 9:30 AM at kilometer 16, heading north towards France. Reports indicate that two cars collided, causing one of the vehicles to overturn in the middle of the road, blocking all lanes.
The Catalan Transit Service confirmed that two people were injured in the crash, although their current condition remains unknown. Emergency teams are still evaluating the victims at the scene.
Officers from the Mossos d'Esquadra, Firefighters, and Emergency Medical Services (SEM) are currently working on-site. The closure is causing traffic congestion stretching over one kilometer.
