Agents from the Nature Protection Service (SEPRONA) have located an individual engaged in illegal bird hunting on a plot of land in this Girona municipality. The intervention occurred during surveillance and wildlife protection tasks in the area.
The person apprehended was concealed behind a blind and, according to Civil Guard sources, was capturing finches without the necessary permit. Furthermore, the use of unauthorized techniques for capturing the birds was confirmed.
During the operation, officers seized a collapsible net, two live bird decoys, and a sound player, all of which were being used for the illegal hunting.
