Local residents in Figueres have voiced their indignation over the degraded state of Aigües Park and surrounding public areas this March.

The lack of municipal care has left tree pits overgrown with weeds for months, creating an image of urban neglect. This issue extends to the city's infrastructure, where broken asphalt and damaged paving stones on Perpinyà Avenue pose risks to both pedestrians and drivers.
The situation is further worsened by the presence of abandoned cars in nearby parking lots, some with broken windows and missing wheels, contributing to a sense of urban decay in the Alt Empordà capital.

"It is regrettable to see how a space that should be a green lung for the city has become an example of municipal neglect."
