Roses Council addresses fire station management and security

The Roses Town Council held its ordinary plenary session on August 24th, addressing 18 key points for municipal management.

Among the main topics, it was agreed to initiate the review process for the transfer of the Roses Fire Station. Furthermore, the subjective change of use for a municipal plot in polygon 8 was initially approved in favor of the Generalitat de Catalunya, to be designated for this service.
In terms of citizen security, the definitive approval was given to the video surveillance project at the Police Control Center, thereby strengthening technological resources for security management in the municipality.
The session also included the monitoring of the emergency works decree for the replacement of the final section of the sewage collector on Carrer del Port Reig.
Regarding economic management, the General Account for the 2025 fiscal year was approved, along with a report on the budget execution for the second quarter of 2026 and the annual financial control plan. Several invoices were also approved through extrajudicial credit recognition procedures.
In the area of municipal assets, the list of properties to be expropriated from a plot in polygon 6, parcel 20, was initially approved. Additionally, a municipal vehicle assigned to the Urban Planning Area was decommissioned.
The modification of the energy efficiency improvement project for the lighting of the Municipal Camp de la Vinyassa was also approved, adjusting the prices of machinery, materials, and labor.
The session included the approval of the minutes from the previous meeting, information from the Mayor's office, and the communication of judicial resolutions. The Medal of Long Service in First Category with White Distinction was awarded to a Local Police inspector for 35 years of service.
