The church of Sant Pere de Figueres has joined Catalonia Sacra, a strategic project led by Catalan dioceses to promote the cultural and artistic value of religious heritage in Alt Empordà.

Founded in 2012, the network aims to bring the public closer to significant ecclesiastical sites. By joining, Sant Pere aligns itself with major landmarks such as the Girona Cathedral and the Seu Vella in Lleida.
The temple is famous for hosting the royal wedding of Philip V in 1701 and for its deep connection to Salvador Dalí. The artist was baptized here, and his funeral was also held within its walls, making it a key site for understanding the identity of Figueres.
