According to Renfe, the disruption began around 10:35 AM after several trees and fences fell onto the tracks between Sant Miquel de Fluvià and Girona. The affected area was expanded throughout the day as weather conditions worsened.
A replacement bus service has been organized to transport passengers across the affected section. Local weather stations have recorded wind gusts of nearly 100 km/h, which continue to impact transport infrastructure in the Alt Empordà and Selva regions.
