The Terrer Empordà Festival kicks off its first major weekend from July 3rd to 5th in Garriguella, Espolla, and Sant Climent Sescebes, combining singer-songwriter music, DO Empordà wine tastings, and cultural activities.

Empordà is solidifying its position as a summer cultural stage with the Terrer Empordà Festival, which offers an experience that engages with the territory. The event places each concert and activity in unique locations such as cooperative wineries, old cemeteries, libraries, heritage sites, and wine landscapes.
On Friday, July 3rd, Garriguella will host the presentation of the book La tradició de la vinya i el vi a Catalunya, by historian Llorenç Ferrer Alòs, focusing on wine heritage. In the evening, the old cemetery will be the stage for concerts by Joina with her work Entre la mort i el desglaç, followed by LECOCQ presenting their album Sucre. The evening will be complemented by tastings from local wineries.
On Saturday, July 4th, the Cooperative Winery of Espolla will host Joan Miquel Oliver to present his album Roïssos, with a repertoire that will include classics from Antònia Font.
On Sunday, July 5th, Sant Climent Sescebes will host a dialogue at the La Concòrdia space between Carles Sanjosé and writer Adrià Pujol Cruells about the Cançoner de l’Empordà. This session will feature wine tastings from the Martí Fabra and Terra Remota wineries.
The president of the Regulatory Council of DO Empordà, Carme Casacuberta, emphasizes that “Terrer is not just a cultural program; it’s a way of explaining who we are,” summarizing the festival's ambition to merge music, wine, architecture, memory, and landscape into a cohesive cultural narrative.
With this second edition, the Terrer Empordà Festival aims to establish itself as an intimate and territory-rooted offering, providing a unique cultural experience on the Costa Brava.
