This cultural initiative, which will run until May 5, will cover more than 500 municipalities over 1,500 kilometers. Its main purpose is to advocate for the Catalan language beyond administrative borders, emphasizing its territorial and cultural unity.
The symbolic flame was lit at the tomb of Pompeu Fabra and will follow two different itineraries: one inland and one along the coast. These paths will converge again in Tarragona, after the coastal route reaches Barcelona on April 21. Subsequently, the journey will continue towards the Valencian Country, with a stop in València on April 25, and the Balearic Islands, arriving in Palma on May 2. The event will conclude in l'Alguer.
The first stage of the Correllengua Agermanat connects Prada de Conflent with la Jonquera, in Alt Empordà, and Bellver de Cerdanya, marking the beginning of this significant cultural and linguistic event.
