The events took place on May 11, 2026, when officers initiated a pursuit that ended with the interception of the vehicle. Inside the van, agents discovered a considerable amount of illicit substances.

The drugs, totaling 73 kilograms of marijuana, were concealed in specially designed compartments within the vehicle. This operation has allowed for the dismantling of a significant drug trafficking route in the Alt Empordà area.

The three arrested individuals have been brought before the judicial authorities, accused of crimes against public health. The investigation remains open to determine possible connections with larger trafficking networks.
