Two men jailed for sixteen robberies at businesses in Empordà and Gironès

The suspects used stolen vans to raid industrial warehouses and shops over a two-month period.

The Mossos d'Esquadra police force has arrested two men, aged 46 and 25, in Figueres for their involvement in fifteen burglaries and one violent robbery across the Girona region.

The investigation revealed that the suspects operated within a short window between December 15th and February 4th. They utilized four stolen vans to carry out raids in Alt Empordà, Baix Empordà, Selva, and Gironès.
One of the most violent incidents took place at a pharmacy in Avinyonet de Puigventós, where a worker was assaulted during the theft of a cash register. Other targeted locations included Llançà, Castelló d'Empúries, and Palol d'Onyar.
Both men have been remanded in custody by a judge in Figueres. Police also arrested a 39-year-old woman linked to one of the robberies as the investigation continues to identify further accomplices.
