Woman arrested hiding in toilets after shop robbery in Llançà

The suspect suffered hand injuries while breaking a window to enter the premises before being caught by police.

The Llançà Local Police and the Mossos d'Esquadra arrested a 40-year-old woman on February 10 after she was caught inside a local business premises.

The incident took place at approximately 9:15 AM when security forces were alerted to a possible break-in at a shop in Llançà. Upon arrival, officers conducted a thorough search of the building to locate the intruder who had forced entry.
Police sources confirmed that the suspect broke a glass window to gain access to the interior. During the process, she sustained a cut to her hand. Officers eventually discovered her hiding inside the establishment's toilets, where she was immediately taken into custody.
The woman, a resident of a nearby village, faces charges of robbery with force. The Mossos d'Esquadra are now leading the investigation and processing the legal proceedings following the arrest in the Alt Empordà region.
