A large portion of Pons' professional career has focused on the excavation and study of the Mas Castellar site, which Aurora Martín described as “one of the best-known sites of the entire Iberian culture that must be preserved.”
The Mayor of Pontós, Barbara Mieke Van Hoestenberghe, emphasized Pons' working methodology over the years, noting that her efforts in researching and promoting local heritage have been characterized by “rigor and patience.”
