The negative rating was recorded at the end of 2025, prior to the railway crisis, and users attribute responsibility to the Generalitat.

The survey conducted by the Centre d'Estudis d'Opinió (CEO) reveals that users fail the Rodalies de Renfe service with a score of 4.2 out of 10, despite the fieldwork being completed at the end of 2025, before the recent rail crisis.

The 4.2 score is three tenths lower than the previous year. The worst rating (3.3) comes from users who rely on the train for work or studies, who, in contrast, give a score of 8 to the Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat (FGC) service.
Rodalies lags far behind other transport services, such as the 7.6 average for FGC, the 7.4 for the Metro, and long-distance trains (AVE and Avant). Urban and interurban buses exceed 6.5, while Renfe regional trains rank second to last, with a 5.5.

55% of respondents believe that the responsibility for improving the management of Rodalies trains lies with the Generalitat, while 41% attribute it to the Spanish government.

Regarding administrations, 50% of respondents consider that the Catalan public administration functions “poorly or very poorly,” a percentage that rises to 63% when asked about the functioning of the State administration.
Local councils (Ajuntaments) are the best rated in management (5.4). The management of the Government of the Generalitat obtains a 5.1, while the Spanish government and the European Commission barely reach 4.4. The best score for the Catalan executive is in the promotion of culture and language (5.5) and the worst in citizen security (4.3).
