The Alt Penedès County Council has initially approved a 2% increase in fiscal ordinances for school transport and music education for the 2026-2027 term.

The price adjustment affects non-compulsory school transport and the Alt Penedès Music School. Officials stated that the update is necessary due to rising operational costs and the introduction of new specialized services.
A new music therapy program will be added to the curriculum. Despite the general price hike, the council will maintain existing subsidies for single-parent families, students with disabilities, and households with multiple enrolled students.

"The Music School's income comes from public fees, the Generalitat, and the City Councils."

The session also saw unanimous support for improving infrastructure in underdeveloped urbanizations and a formal request for the full deployment of the Penedès healthcare region to address the needs of an aging population.
