The Catalan Traffic Service has reported the closure of the AP-7 highway in both directions in Gelida (Alt Penedès) due to a truck fire, which has generated queues of approximately ten kilometers.

The AP-7 highway is completely closed in both directions in Gelida, in the Alt Penedès region, due to a fire that broke out in a truck. Images from the scene show a significant plume of grey smoke covering the road. Currently, queues of approximately ten kilometers are being reported in both northbound and southbound directions.
The fire has also affected vegetation near the highway. As a safety measure, the Fire Department has ordered the suspension of the R4 commuter train line between the stations of Sant Sadurní d’Anoia and Martorell Central. An alternative road service is being arranged for affected passengers.
Two aerial units and a dozen ground crews from the Fire Department of Catalonia are working at the scene to extinguish the flames and manage the situation.
