A group of women from Alt Penedès has launched Teixint Vincles, an association debuting this March 8th to provide community-based support and guidance for victims of gender-based violence.

The organization is composed of women who have overcome domestic abuse and are now stepping forward to help others. The project is inspired by the Veïnes per veïnes initiative from the Hèlia Dones association in Barcelona.

"I never imagined one could live so well!"

Marisol · Survivor and association member
The founders include Marisol, who endured psychological abuse for 20 years, and Lalla, who faced violence as an immigrant. Both previously participated in support groups organized by the Alt Penedès County Council.
Teixint Vincles aims to provide a safe, non-judgmental environment. Volunteer Carme Hernández emphasizes that active listening is key to helping women realize they can escape the cycle of violence.
