The R4 Rodalies line returns to full operation this Monday, July 6, with regular schedules, ending the night-time restrictions that had remained in place.

After more than half a year of disruptions, rail service between Manresa and Sant Vicenç de Calders has returned to normal. According to Renfe, night-time maintenance work has been completed, allowing for the cancellation of the alternative road transport service that operated between Manresa and Terrassa - Estació del Nord station.
This restoration of service marks the end of a long period of incidents that began on January 20, following a rail accident in Gelida. The incident necessitated exhaustive inspections across the metropolitan network, leading to service cuts and reduced frequencies for months while infrastructure deficiencies were addressed.
During the final phase of the works, buses were concentrated exclusively in the night-time hours to facilitate repairs to protective walls, overhead lines, switches, and tracks. With these tasks finished, passengers can now access all rail connections without the need for road transfers.
