The project has addressed deficiencies related to water accumulation, preventing it from entering homes. According to Mayor Pere Sau, the installation of new drains has significantly improved drainage, as evidenced during recent rainfall episodes without issues.
The street has been transformed into a single platform, allowing residents to park with ease. The aim is to create a shared space for both vehicles and pedestrians, with measures planned to reduce vehicle speed.
The mayor notes that the opening of a new street at the rear of the town will help calm traffic on Setcases street, making it "a street for everyone".
The renovation of Setcases street cost approximately 50,000 euros, partly funded by a grant from the Diputación de Girona. This project had been planned by the council for some time.
