The incident, located between kilometers 177 and 171 of the AP-7 heading towards Tarragona, resulted in significant congestion. According to traffic reports, approximately ten kilometers of traffic jams formed southbound and eight kilometers northbound.
The flames from the heavy vehicle spread to nearby vegetation, prompting the intervention of the Bombers (firefighters). Two aerial and twelve ground units were deployed to control the fire, which was stabilized by mid-afternoon.
