The Vilafranca del Penedès City Council has unveiled an extensive program for International Women's Day (8M) running until April 21st, focusing on gender equality.

The events begin this Wednesday with a tribute to Coloma Seró Costa, a teacher and resistance figure who became the first woman to serve on the Vilafranca del Penedès council. The event will take place at the Consell Comarcal de l'Alt Penedès.
The main institutional day is Friday, March 6th, featuring a manifesto reading at plaça de la Vila. In the evening, the Cal Bolet Theater will host the play En lila by the La Bona Confitura company.

"The program aims to be varied, reaching the diversity of the population and giving visibility to the actions of local entities."
