Under the title Were the days too few?, the artist Luis Lazo presents an exhibition at the Sala dels Trinitaris that intertwines personal memories, landscapes, and portraits to reveal human stories through the passage of time and emotions. The project focuses on the desire to capture and preserve the silent and fleeting essence of lived moments.
The exhibition specifically addresses the fragility of time and memory, inviting the public to an intimate reflection on seemingly simple, yet profoundly significant, moments. Through a refined perspective and a conscious use of simplicity, the Chilean photographer constructs a visual narrative that establishes a dialogue between past and present, sealing new memories based on their relationship.
Lazo, who currently resides in Font-rubí (Alt Penedès), was born in Santiago, Chile, and grew up in England, where he settled after the military coup of 1973. Trained in Art History and Photography at the Bourneville School of Art, he graduated from the University of Wolverhampton. He began his career as a feature film photographer before specializing in portraiture for publications such as Harpers & Queens and The Telegraph Magazine.
The inauguration of the exhibition, which opens the Vilafranca City Council Visual Arts program for 2026, took place on Friday, January 16, at 8 PM, with the participation of Culture Councillor Àngels Dalmau and the artist himself. The exhibition will be open until Sunday, February 22, with visiting hours from Wednesday to Friday (5 PM to 8 PM), Saturdays (6 PM to 8 PM), and Sundays and holidays (12 PM to 2 PM).
