The agreement to deploy this initiative stems from budget negotiations between the PSC and Vilafranca en Comú. The process will be managed through the digital platform Participa 311, which has already hosted two recently closed participatory processes.
The call allows participation from individuals over 16 years old, who can submit up to three proposals, with a maximum cost of 48,000 euros per project. Accepted proposals include urban furniture, leisure spaces, energy efficiency, or interventions in green areas. While anyone can propose, voting is restricted to residents registered in Vilafranca.
“"Involving citizens facilitates empowerment and encourages them to strengthen ties with the town."
The calendar begins on December 17 with the information campaign and proposal collection, running until February 15. Key information sessions will take place on January 21 at the Escorxador, January 29 at the Nau, and February 2 at the Enològica.
Following the proposal phase, technical and economic viability will be assessed from February 16 to April 30. Citizen voting on finalist projects will occur between May 1 and June 7, both online via the Participa 311 platform and in person. The execution of the most voted projects is scheduled to begin in July 2026.
