The Vilobí del Penedès Town Council, with the organization of the PUPAS VLB friends, is celebrating the second edition of the Cursa del Parc dels Talls. This mountain race is part of the Lliga Gran Penedès circuit, contributing points to the region's mountain running league.
This year, Vilobí del Penedès has been designated as Trail Capital 2026. The competition will bring together the best trail running teams of the moment, and the winner of the Copa Trail 2026 will be crowned during this event.
The race offers two modalities: a 14.7 km circuit with an elevation gain of +381m, starting at the plaça de la Vila, passing through the Bellver neighborhood, and ascending the muntanya dels Pèlags. Additionally, there is a non-competitive 8.7 km walk with +270m of elevation gain, also starting and finishing at the plaça de la Vila, covering part of the Pèlags area.
Registrations are open to all interested individuals. For the race modality, the minimum age is 14 years, while for the walk, it is 8 years. Children under 8 may accompany their guardians without a race bib. Participants under 18 will need to present a signed authorization form.
Places are limited to 250 runners for the race and 100 participants for the walk, on a first-come, first-served basis. The registration deadline is Monday, October 12th, or until all spots are filled.
The registration fee is 15€ for both modalities, increasing to 18€ from October 1st, 2026. A discount of 2€ per person is offered for teams and groups of 8 or more, valid until September 30th.
All participants will receive an exclusive race souvenir and a bottle of wine from collaborator Vallformosa. Upon finishing, a traditional Catalan sausage (botifarra) and drinks will be served.
