All reforms of the regional financing system approved so far have been positive for Catalonia, without exception.
The party led by Carles Puigdemont acts once again as the 'dog in the manger' by rejecting the agreement, not because it is harmful, but because it is neither exclusive nor rupturist, thus avoiding dismantling the narrative of grievance. This financial improvement, estimated at around 5 billion euros annually according to the republican Isaac Albert, would significantly strengthen public policies.

This uncompromising stance has begun to create internal fissures. Former Minister Jaume Giró, currently outside the leadership, pointed out the need for Junts to be more like the old Convergència, prioritizing pacts with the State on key issues. The blockage occurs just before the meeting this Thursday between Pedro Sánchez and Oriol Junqueras, which is expected to seal the pact between the Government and ERC. Meanwhile, Míriam Nogueras rushed to disavow any progress that does not imply leaving the common regime, denouncing ERC's alleged surrender on the economic agreement (concert econòmic).
