The energy collective, serving the towns of Estamariu and Bescaran, produced 34,165 kWh during this period. Of this production, 59.8% (20,430 kWh) was used to meet members' electricity needs, while the remaining 40.2% (13,735 kWh) was injected into the electrical grid as surplus.
The Fundació Planes Corts, which presides over the association, positively assesses the performance of the photovoltaic panels installed on the roofs of the Espai Joan Planes, the restaurant La Canal, and a building on the Els Olivers estate. The results demonstrate that the infrastructure is "generating value," although coverage depends on factors such as weather, member usage hours, and consumption patterns.
The analysis of generation and consumption data will allow for the maximization of this renewable resource's use. Therefore, members are encouraged to concentrate the use of high-consumption appliances (washing machines, dishwashers, dryers) during daylight hours, between 11 AM and 5 PM, and to avoid nighttime "peaks" in consumption, such as those from heating or electric vehicle charging.
Of the 28 members in the energy community, over twenty are residents of private homes, while the rest belong to institutions, industrial activities, and hospitality businesses. They have a total of 37 connection points to the electricity grid. In addition to the photovoltaic panels, the biogas plant in Estamariu is operational and will soon provide additional energy.
