The decision is based on the ban on lighting fires in open spaces, a preventive measure following the detection of barbecues being held near forest areas. In this case, the main reason is not fire, but the increase in uncivil acts and irregular parking of vehicles on private land, a problem that has worsened with the increase in visitor numbers.
Municipal officials agree that the combination of record temperatures and lack of rainfall keeps the fire danger at high levels.
