The Alt Urgell Mayors' Council proposed this Friday in Pla de Sant Tirs that the upcoming Pyrenees Emergency Region should be centrally located within the county.

The council supports the La Seu d'Urgell City Council in asking the Department of Interior to align the new operational zone with the existing territorial division. They argue that since the Police Region is already based there, it is the most logical choice.

"It is logical and consistent that this Emergency Region is also here, given that the Interior delegation is in la Seu."

The meeting also discussed updates to the school map for the 2026-2027 academic year and new heat network projects for Organyà and Coll de Nargó.
