The Bombers de la Generalitat extinguished a chimney fire in a ground-floor plus four-story building on Carrer Major in Oliana on Saturday afternoon.

The incident alert was received around 3:15 p.m., mobilizing four units of the Bombers de la Generalitat to the property located on Carrer Major in the town of Oliana.
Firefighters accessed the roof of the building, which has a ground floor and four upper floors, via the terrace. They set up a water line along the facade to put out the flames coming from the chimney.

As a precautionary measure, and due to the presence of smoke, the residents of the building were preventively confined until any structural damage to the building could be completely ruled out.

While one part of the team worked on the extinction, another group of firefighters inspected the interior floors using a thermal camera to check the temperature and rule out any fire spread.
