This cultural initiative, aiming to revitalize the territory and foster artistic creation, showcases a diverse vision of the landscape and life in Alt Urgell. The exhibition is housed in the foundation's multipurpose hall, located in the heart of Estamariu, and is expected to attract a significant number of visitors and tourists during the holiday period.
Among the participating artists in painting are Joan Albinyà, Josep Albinyà, Montse Armengol, Marc Riguillo, and Lurdes Casanova. The exhibition is complemented by the compositions of Assumpció Albinyà, who presents works crafted from wooden houses, cardboard, and figures, adding a unique sculptural and artisanal dimension to the collection.
“"The work as a seamstress gave me much satisfaction. Every time I finished a dress, I felt great joy and asked myself: did you make this? It seemed impossible. Now, when I make the little houses with all the details, I feel something similar."
Assumpció Albinyà Navinés, born in Estamariu in 1938, has dedicated her life to dressmaking and farm work, and now finds a new creative expression in her miniature houses. The artist highlights her satisfaction in seeing her creations completed, a feeling she compares to finishing a dress.
The Espai Joan Planes, formerly a stable and a hayloft, has been transformed by the Fundació Planes Corts, an entity committed to retaining population and improving the quality of life in Estamariu and Bescaran. Organizing cultural events like this exhibition is crucial for the revitalization of the area.
