The initiative aims to bring citizens closer to the territory's natural and cultural heritage, highlighting the connection between geology and traditional ways of life. A significant part of the program also aligns with the International Year of Rangelands and Pastoralists, declared by the United Nations, encouraging reflection on the role of pastoralism in shaping landscapes.
Over these days, 14 diverse activities have been scheduled, including workshops, guided excursions, presentations, family activities, sessions in educational centers, and round tables. The most notable proposals specifically address pastoralism from a territorial perspective, offering spaces for debate and dissemination.
Two key events mark the calendar: on June 5th, coinciding with World Environment Day, a presentation on 'fire herds' will take place in Coll de Nargó (l'Alt Urgell). Subsequently, on June 7th, Sarroca de Bellera will host a workshop on the shepherd's 'morralet' (lunch bag), led by Eduardo Marín, who was recently honored with a National Craftsmanship Award.
