The Espai Ermengol Museum presented the results of an ethnological study in La Seu d'Urgell this March, which led to the discovery of an old tile kiln in Coll de Nargó.

The project, carried out by the Associació Obagues, focused on recovering oral memory and documenting material heritage related to traditional pottery in the Alt Urgell region. It highlights domestic pieces that are key to understanding 20th-century daily life.
Five interviews were recorded with members of the Domenjó, Tor, Torra, and Ticó pottery families, as well as archivist Lluís Obiols. These recordings aim to preserve an intangible legacy threatened by industrialization.
The discovery of the abandoned kiln in Coll de Nargó is a significant find for the region's industrial heritage. The 4,578 euro project was funded by the La Seu d'Urgell Town Council and the Government of Catalonia.
