Volunteer Pere Mentruit from La Seu d'Urgell has successfully completed the 42nd Caravan of Kindness, delivering 21 ambulances and essential medical supplies to Ukraine on the fourth anniversary of the invasion.

The La Seu d'Urgell City Council supported the mission by sponsoring one of the vehicles with an 800-euro contribution. The convoy, led by the Convent de Santa Clara Foundation, traveled 3,000 kilometers from Barcelona to the Polish-Ukrainian border to provide aid to those affected by the war.

"They wanted to emphasize that they are currently protecting us and acting as a shield for Europe."

Upon arrival, the volunteers met with local residents who expressed their determination to defend their country. Mentruit highlighted the importance of continued international support, as the local population fears the conflict might be forgotten by the global media after four years of fighting.
