The Institute of Agrifood Research and Technology (IRTA) will operate from Valls d'Andorra Avenue while waiting for the permanent headquarters at Ca l'Armenter to be completed. This project aims to bridge the gap between scientific research and the local mountain economy.
“"It is a Pyrenean project, not a project of la Seu d'Urgell, and that is why we must have a broad perspective."
The center will focus on agroforestry bioeconomy, sustainable forest management, and climate change adaptation. The initiative also seeks to create high-quality jobs for young people in the Pyrenees region, promoting local products and circular economy practices.
