The celebration will begin on Friday evening with the screening of the short film “Per bruixa i metzinera” by Marc Camardons, who will participate in a subsequent talk at the Cadí hall in Tuixent. On Saturday, the day will include botanical itineraries around Ossera and the Mola valley, workshops, guided tours of the Trementinaires Museum, and the screening of the short film “Flor del cel” in Sorribes with its director, Eloi Aymerich.
During Saturday afternoon, the Trementinaire d’Honor awards and the “Arts, dones i boscos” contest prizes will be presented. In Ossera, a theatrical tour will allow participants to discover medicinal plants, followed by a tasting of local products and a traditional dance workshop led by Pep Lizandra. The evening will culminate in Tuixent with a bonfire of aromatic plants, the Dansa del Foc de Tuixent (Dance of Fire), a traditional song performance, and a concert-dance with the Orquestrina Trama.
On Sunday, the Serra del Cadí square in Tuixent will host the Fair of Medicinal Herbs and Natural Products, featuring over forty artisans. The day will include guided tours of the museum, the botanical garden, and the flora center. In Sorribes, the 40th issue of the magazine Cadí Pedraforca will be presented, including a dossier on plants and remedies. The fair will conclude with the popular contest Tens un bon nas? (Do you have a good nose?), a hot chocolate tasting, and a concert by La Sonsoni.
The festival is organized by the Trementinaires Museum, the town councils of Josa and Tuixén and of La Vansa and Fórnols, the Alt Urgell Regional Council, and the Cadí Moixeró Natural Park, with the collaboration of the Institute for the Development and Promotion of the Alt Pirineu and Aran (IDAPA).
