A 70-year-old man has been rescued alive in La Seu d'Urgell after spending three days trapped in his home without being able to move, eat, or drink.

Emergency services yesterday rescued a 70-year-old resident of La Seu d'Urgell who had been trapped in his home for three days. The man lived alone and had not attended his daily appointments at the senior center, which alerted the staff.
Sources from the Local Police explained that upon arriving at the residence, they received no response. Neighbors in the apartment building had also not seen the man for several days. After requesting the intervention of the firefighters, they accessed the home and found the man alive.
The man had fallen out of bed and was immobilized, unable to call for help. Thanks to citizen collaboration and the swift joint action of the Local Police, the firefighters, and the Emergency Medical System (SEM), the rescue was carried out.
Subsequently, the man was transferred to the hospital of La Seu d’Urgell, where he was admitted for observation.
