The Organyà Town Council has started the procedures to install license plate recognition systems at the main entrances of the municipality in Alt Urgell during 2026.

The local government has approved a collaboration agreement with the Department of Interior. This will allow the Mossos d'Esquadra police force to access the data from the cameras to improve regional security and monitoring.

"Some people asked for cameras to see the entire road, but that is not possible if you do not have local police."

The project has a budget of 30.000 euros, funded by the regional government. Two cameras will be placed at strategic points: one on the road from la Seu d'Urgell and another near the industrial area on the road from Oliana.
