The local government of Peramola is preparing an ordinance to manage the reception and dynamism center for climbing and mid-mountain sports. The intention is for access, currently free, to become paid. The method for implementing this measure has not yet been defined, but the possibility of using an interactive application for managing payments and reservations is being considered, avoiding the need for physical staff.
This facility, located on the second floor of the Casino, opened its doors just over a year ago. The total investment for the works was 370,000 euros, with most of the funding coming from European Next Generation funds. The remaining 20,000 euros were contributed by the municipal coffers of Peramola.
“"Now that everything is in order, it is time to regulate the space. The space has free entry, but regulating it will allow us to improve in the sense that the revenue derived from its use can be reinvested in maintenance."
The center, which includes an indoor climbing wall and changing rooms, is used weekly by numerous climbing enthusiasts, especially during colder months and rainy days. Regulation and charging for use will allow revenue to be allocated to facility maintenance. This space is part of a broader project to promote a sustainable tourism model in the municipality, which is a reference point for climbing with more than a dozen routes of varying difficulty.
