The cleanup effort, which involved the group Per una Catalunya Neta and the support of the Ajuntament de les Valls de Valira, focused on the area near the N-260 road. Participants gathered at kilometer 218 of this route, close to la Quera, before heading to the Cal Murrissol site.
Among the collected materials were 8.5 tons of wood, 2,300 kg of rubble, 1,300 kg of general waste, 30 tires, and parts of a camper van, totaling over 12.7 tons of debris.
This initiative aims not only to remove litter polluting the natural environment but also to raise public awareness about the need to prevent acts of incivility that harm the surroundings.
The cleanup day coincided with the commemoration of the European Week for Waste Reduction and the European Clean Up Day, highlighting the importance of responsible waste management.
