As part of the renovation, Roser street will become a single-level platform, replacing the current asphalt and sidewalks with grey natural granite stone paving. This action aims to improve the accessibility and aesthetics of the urban center.
The works also include a comprehensive renewal of underground networks. The sewage system will be updated to separate wastewater and rainwater, new collectors and drains will be installed, and old asbestos-cement drinking water pipes will be replaced with new polyethylene ones. Furthermore, the street's lighting will be enhanced with the installation of LED technology.
During the construction period, vehicle access to and from garages with driveways on Roser street will be restricted. Affected residents can apply for free parking permits in the blue zone at the Gestvia offices or by calling 937 664 190.
Once the works on Roser street are completed, expected to take around 3 months, the project will continue on Riera street, between Sant Isidre and Colom. This section will also feature a single level, with traffic restricted to residents and the same grey natural granite paving. Utility networks and lighting will also be renewed, replacing current column lighting with facade-mounted light points.
The total cost for these actions is approximately €640,000. The intervention on Roser street has been awarded for €301,423.25 (VAT included), while the works on Riera street have an execution budget of €337,281.46 (VAT included). These investments are part of a budget modification approved in the May plenary session from the treasury surplus of the 2025 fiscal year.
