The second edition of the Volta a l'Alt Urgell brought together 243 participants, surpassing last year's figures and establishing itself as a key sports and tourism challenge in the region.

The II Volta a l'Alt Urgell, part of the Camina Pirineus project, has concluded its second edition with very positive feedback from the 243 participants. This figure represents an increase of about forty people compared to the previous year, highlighting the growing interest in this challenge aimed at promoting the local trail network and the natural and cultural heritage of the region.
The initiative, driven by the Consell Comarcal de l'Alt Urgell and the association Marxa Nòrdica Cadí Pirineus, offered a stage-based route with guided excursions and logistical organization, including bus transfers to facilitate the discovery of the territory. This approach has allowed for better management and contributed to the event's smooth running.
Over six stages, the Volta allowed participants to explore various perspectives of the region. The route began in late February between Altès and Oliana, offering views of the Rialb reservoir. In March, little-known spots between Fígols and Perles were discovered, and the stage between Alinyà and Sorribes highlighted the headwaters of the valleys. In April, the route from Tuixent to la Trava followed historic paths, while in May, the traverse from Ges to Arsèguel showcased landscapes at the foot of the Cadí mountains. The event concluded in Bescaran, heading towards Arcavell, near Andorra.
The organization emphasizes the success of the proposal, which combines physical activity, knowledge of the territory, and social interaction. The possibility of continuing next year with new stages, utilizing other paths from the Camina Pirineus project, is being positively considered. The initiative was funded by the Patronat de Turisme de la Diputació de Lleida and the Consell Comarcal de l'Alt Urgell, aiming to promote healthy and sustainable tourism in the region, involving all 19 local councils.
