The La Seu d'Urgell City Council approved this Monday the free transfer of the old court building to the Generalitat to centralize Government services in the Alt Pirineu region.

The building, located at Pati Palau, has a total area of 1,014 square meters. The renovation project will cost approximately 5 million euros, funded by the Catalan Government, to adapt the space for administrative use.

"This transfer is a clear commitment to strengthening the role of La Seu as a territorial capital and to decisively revitalizing our Historic Center."

Joan Barrera · Mayor of La Seu d'Urgell
Constructed between 1797 and 1808, the building previously served as an orphanage and a public school. The project is part of a broader plan by the Department of the Presidency to improve citizen services across the Alt Pirineu i Aran region.
