The Mossos d'Esquadra recently reported an individual in La Seu d'Urgell who attempted to pass the theoretical driving license test by receiving correct answers via an earpiece from an external collaborator.

The incident took place at the new CETAP facilities, located in the Les Monges building in La Seu d'Urgell, where the theoretical exams for the Directorate General of Traffic (DGT) are conducted. The police intervention allowed the fraudulent conduct to be detected.
The system used by the offender was complex and well-concealed. The man carried a mobile phone hidden inside his shoe, which, through a small hole, captured images of the exam questions. These images were transmitted in real-time to an external collaborator.

The use of sophisticated technology for cheating highlights the growing complexity of fraud detected in driving tests.

This accomplice received the signal and, once the questions were identified, sent the correct answers directly to the examinee through a tiny, concealed earpiece. This practice constitutes a serious violation against road safety and the integrity of the licensing process.
