The tourism sector in the Catalan Pyrenees confirmed high occupancy rates, between 85% and 95%, during the Puríssima long weekend, coinciding with the opening of several ski resorts.

Hotels and bungalows located near the ski complexes, particularly in Cerdanya, displayed 'fully booked' signs, boosted by the snowfalls and cold weather of recent weeks which allowed the season to start.

Demand has significantly picked up, and many establishments already have a very high volume of confirmed reservations for the Christmas and New Year holidays.

Regarding openings, the Port Ainé resort inaugurated the winter season with renewed rental equipment provided by Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC), a new restaurant, and more efficient snow production systems.
Nordic ski resorts such as Sant Joan de l'Erm, Tuixent-la Vansa, Lles, Aransa, Guils-Fontanera, and Tavascan have also started the season, opening beginner areas and snowshoe circuits. In alpine skiing, lifts have also opened at Espot, Boí Taüll, Vall de Núria, and Vallter.
