Mayor Iolanda Ferran emphasized that this initiative could be a 'very important boost' for the town, providing substantial economic support for improvement projects. The potential investment could range from 3 to 12 million euros, with aid covering between 75% and even 100% of the total cost.
To create a 'winning and forward-looking' proposal, the council has launched a participatory process. This will involve citizens, local entities, and economic sectors, with the goal of defining a roadmap that includes at least 22 actions. The sessions will take place in the Plenary Hall of the Town Hall.
“"The technical team is working to obtain the maximum possible points, as it is a competitive process."
The schedule for the participatory sessions is as follows: April 7 for entities and associations, April 9 for the economic and business sector, April 14 for regional social tables, and April 20 for residents. Currently, the project is in an initial phase of statistical data collection and diagnosis, without yet specifying whether the area of action will cover the entire municipality or only a part. The council remains optimistic and states that, if not selected, they will apply in future calls.
