The tourism sector in Lleida met its forecasts for Easter Week, with an average occupancy of 80% in hotels. This figure, combined with full occupancy in campsites (except in some areas of the Pyrenees) and rural tourism, helped salvage a holiday period that was initially threatened by bad weather and rising fuel prices.
“"There were slightly fewer people than last year. However, we are pleased that the good weather allowed us to secure the projected figures."
The good weather also benefited the ski resorts in the Lleida Pyrenees, which were able to open most of their facilities after an atypical season. Enthusiasts enjoyed generous snow depths, ranging between 110 and 290 centimeters.
In Àger, the town council positively assessed the high influx of visitors to the Mont-Rebei area, even surpassing figures recorded after the pandemic, which was one of the periods of maximum tourist activity. This increase coincided with the end of the navigation ban on the Canelles reservoir, reactivating this tourist activity.
Meanwhile, in Alta Ribagorça, the Romanesque Center of La Vall de Boí reported that the Romanesque complex also exceeded expectations, receiving over 3,900 visits, of which 498 included guided services.
