The town of Barruera, in the Vall de Boí, hosted a new edition of the traditional falles descent on Saturday, featuring around twenty participants and a large number of spectators.

The event was marked by a reinforced security operation due to high temperatures and a significant risk of forest fires. Personnel from the Generalitat Fire Department based in El Pont de Suert accompanied the participants throughout the route to extinguish sparks and torches, preventing any risk to the natural surroundings.
Despite these preventive measures, firefighting teams had to intervene on Sunday to extinguish a small forest fire near the L-500 road. The alert was received at 15:53, requiring the deployment of ground and aerial resources to control the flames, which affected medium-intensity vegetation.
According to municipal sources, the fire was brought under control by late afternoon. Meanwhile, the falles tradition also took place on Saturday in the Aragonese Ribagorza region, specifically in the village of Aneto.
